Good Monday to YOU, reader!
Having once been a teacher, my mind is irrevocably programmed to an academic year and I’m always wanting to say “happy summer break!” to people this time of the year, even though none of us are, you know, “breaking” from much of anything lol. (Having kids adds to that mentality for me I suppose, since mine are now home for the summer!)
So, big news! This past Friday I turned 37. My boyfriend made a big fuss with huge gold balloons and taking me on a weekend trip full of arepas, chilaquiles, concerts, and quiet time to read (OMG. A dream). I was able to reflect so much on where I was just a few years ago and it really feels like Stella (me) is getting her groove back, baby. Ok, but that’s not the big news, though hooray for getting older because quite frankly, #imlovinit. The real news is, I just launched my coaching business (!)
I’ve been working for months on this and I’m so thrilled for it to be out in the world, and to have the opportunity to connect with women more meaningfully. The program is called Full Bloom, and it’s a three month private coaching container where I help women move from an orientation of fear into one more centered on courage, autonomy, growth, worthiness, and self-trust. This might be useful for women recovering from harmful religious messaging, suffering from low self-esteem and consequently playing small in life, experiencing big changes in their life, or just walking around with a pit in their gut knowing they were meant for more than what they’re currently living.
Throughout the many earth-shattering transitions in the last decade of my life (like: losing friendships, changing jobs, leaving organized religion, finding myself going through divorce, single parenting, etc…) I wrangled with so much self-doubt, fear, analysis paralysis, low self-esteem, intense rumination, and all sorts of other destructive patterns that made the process of getting to (one of the) other side(s) of my life so difficult and overwhelming.
I look back at the past version of me and 1) barely recognize her 2) feel immense love and gratitude toward her and 3) wish I could’ve been there for her more, now that I know what I know. And that’s what I think coaching is about for me: getting to be a landing place, a safe place, an inspiring place, for women who are looking for the acceptance, curiosity, belief, guidance, and support that they may not be ready to give themselves, but know they need to get to where they’re longing to be. If you’re feeling like your outer world isn’t aligning with who you are and what you long for in your inner world, let’s talk.
You can read more about Full Bloom here, or if you have interest in talking more with me about joining you can book a call with me here!
This newsletter will continue to be the same place it’s alway been - a place for my personal musings on getting through life, growing, evolving, parenting, and sharing the messy right now of what it means to be alive in the world. As always, thank you so much for being here. If you’d like to, consider subscribing for $5/month to keep making this newsletter possible!
With my heart and soul,
Jolie
